Cílem mé práce je zkoumat ženské postavy v karibské literatuře, a to konkrétně jejich hledání identity a vztahy mezi matkou a dítětem. Primární zdroje, s nimiž se v této práci zaobírám, jsou Abeng Michelle Cliffové, Christopher Geoffreyho Draytona, Crick Crack, Monkey od Merle Hodge, Season of Adventure George Lamminga a Wide Sargasso Sea Jean Rhysové. The aim of my thesis is to examine the characters of women in Caribbean literature. I narrowed my research down to their search for identity and mother-child relationships. The primary literature I dealt with is Michelle Cliff’s Abeng; Geoffrey Drayton’s Christopher; Merle Hodge’s Crick Crack, Monkey; George Lamming’s Season of Adventure; and Jean Rhys’s Wide Sargasso Sea.
