Design of a Robotic Hand Using Additive Manufacturing

Abstract:

V dnešnej dobe existuje veľké množstvo ľudí, ktorí, bohužiaľ, v rôznych kritických situá-ciách nevyviazli bez zranenia či inej ujmy na zdraví. Jedna z dôležitých častí tela, o ktorú ľudia v dôsledku či už nehody alebo zo zdravotných príčin prichádzajú, je ruka. Vďaka pok-ročilým technológiám, ktoré dnešný svet ponúka, už nie je také nákladné náhradnú končatinu vyrobiť aj v domácich podmienkach. Pomocou aditívnej výroby a 3D návrhu modelov je možné náhradnú ruku vyrobiť za menšie náklady svojpomocne. Cieľom práce je návrh a realizácia elektro-mechanicky ovládanej robotickej ruky. Riešená bude problematika jednotlivých častí ruky, ako prsty, dlaň, zápästie a predlaktie. Pre riadenie robotickej ruky bude využitá vývojová doska z platformy Arduina. Jednotlivé prsty budú ovládané za pomoci servomotorov a tiahel k nim pripojených. Práca sa taktiež zaoberá adi-tívnou výrobou ako celkom, konkrétnejšie históriou, metódami, materiálmi pre 3D tlač, ale aj CAD softvérmi pre návrh jednotlivých modelov.

Abstract:

Nowadays, there are lots of people who, unfortunately, did not escape various critical situa-tions without injuries. One of the most important parts of the body that people often lose in accidents is the arm. Thanks to advanced technologies that are available in the modern world, it is not so difficult to create a limb surrogate even at home. Using additive manufacturing and 3D design will enable you to do it by youself at a lower cost. The aim of this work is the design and the creation of an electro-mechanically operated ro-botic arm. The problems of the individual parts of the arm which are the fingers, the palm, the wrist, and the forearm will be dealt with. The robotic arm will be operated by Arduino development board. Each of the fingers will be operated by using servomotors and tie rods adjusted to them. The work will also deal with additive manufacturing as a whole, especially its history, methods, materials for 3D printing, but also with CAD software for the design of individual models.
