Transformation of social services in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce je zaměřena na projekt transformace sociálních služeb, jehož záměrem je prostřednictvím stanovených aktivit přispět k deinstitucionalizaci pobytových zařízení sociálních služeb v České republice a podpořit zkvalitnění, individualizaci a humanizaci služeb sociální péče. Charakterizuji a definuji pojmy transformace, deinstitucionalizace, humanizace, formy sociálních služeb a zařízení, která jsou pro tyto služby zřizována. Souhrnně popisuji důležitost přijetí zákona o sociálních službách č. 108/2006 účinného od 1. ledna 2007 a změny, které přinesl. Práce ukazuje na organizaci Domov bez zámku, že projekt je zásadní změnou pojetí institucionální péče v České republice, že jde o projekt, který přináší změny řízení, vzdělávání, místa a formy poskytování sociálních služeb.

Abstract:

This thesis is focused on the transformation project of social services, whose target is contribute to the deinstitutionalization of residential social services in the Czech Republic and to support the improvement, individualization and humanization of social care services. I have characterized and defined the terms of transformation, deinstitutionalization, humanization, the forms of social services and facilities which are established for these services. I have also described how it is important to adopt the Law of social services no. 108/2006 effective from the 1st of January 2007 and I have pointed out the changes which it brought. In my work I have mentioned the organization Domov bez zámku. In which yor can see that project is a fundamental change in the concept of institutional care in the Czech Republic, it is a project that brings a change in management, education, place and form of provision of social services.
