Abstract:
This diploma thesis deals with the comparative analysis of selected film adaptations of William Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet. Three film adaptations were chosen for this analysis - Romeo and Juliet (1968), Romeo + Juliet (1996) and Gnomeo and Juliet (2011) - which are compared with the original play as well as with one another. Tato diplomová práce se zabývá komparativní analýzou vybraných adaptací dramatu Romeo a Julie Williama Shakespeara. Pro tuto analýzu byly vybrány tři filmové adaptace - Romeo and Juliet (1968), Romeo + Juliet (1996) a Gnomeo and Juliet (2011) - které jsou srovnávány jak s originálem, tak vzájemně.
