Youtube as a student's support during studies at secondary schools

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce je popsat, jak středoškolští studenti využívají YouTube k přípravě do školy, jak probíhá učení se na YouTube a jaké jsou výsledky, takové školní přípravy. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části. Teoretická část se věnuje dvěma základním bodům. Prvním bodem je vysvětlení teorie autoregulace učení, při které se student stává aktivátorem svého vlastního procesu učení. V druhém bodu je popsán YouTube a informace, které jsou na této platformě k nalezení. Empirická část obsahuje popis metodologie použité v celé práci. Od výzkumného cíle až po analýzu dat a následné interpretace výsledků výzkumného šetření. Sběr dat probíhal metodou polostrukturovaných rozhovorů.

Abstract:

The aim of my bachelor thesis is to describe how students of secondary schools use YouTube to prepare themselves for school lessons, how the learning on YouTube is going on and what are the results of this preparation. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part deals with two basic topics. The first topic explains the theory of the self-regulation learning during which the student becomes an activator of his own process of learning. In the second topic, YouTube is described together with information which can be found on this platform. The empirical part contains the description of the methodology used in the whole thesis, from the research aim to the analysis of the data and the consecutive interpretation of the results of the research investigation. The data collection was realized by the method of semi-structured interviews.
