Efekty Arabského Jara na socioekonomický rozvoj v Libyi

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce zkoumá dopady arabského jara na sociální a ekonomický rozvoj v Libyi. Výzkumné otázky této práce se zaměřuje na to, jak výrazně svržení a následné nastolení nového režimu ovlivnilo zemi, která kdysi patřila mezi nejbohatší v Africe, a nyní se ocitá v chaosu a hrozí jí selhání. Literární rešerše poskytuje pozadí a teoretický rámec, který je nezbytný k porozumění celé problematice. Vedle Libye jsou také zmíněny další státy Blízkého východu a Afriky, které byly ovlivněny těmito revolučními událostmi. Teoretická část práce přináší přehled relevantních zdrojů od významných badatelů zabývajících se problematikou arabského jara. Praktická část analyzuje konkrétní data a prostřednictvím komparativní analýzy porovnává období před a po revolučních událostech. I přes nedostupnost některých indikátorů z důvodu specifické situace v zemi před a po revoluci je prostřednictvím dostupných dat možné odpovědět na hlavní výzkumnou otázku této práce. Hlavními socioekonomickými dimenzemi použitými pro výzkum jsou ukazatele rozvoje, vzdělání, chudoby, nezaměstnanosti, zdravotní péče a přístupu k službám.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis examines the impacts of the Arab Spring on the social and economic development in Libya. The research questions of this thesis focus on how significantly the overthrow and subsequent establishment of a new regime has affected the country, which once ranked among the wealthiest in Africa but now finds itself in chaos and on the brink of failure. The literature review provides background and a theoretical framework necessary for understanding the entire issue. In addition to Libya, other countries in the Middle East and Africa that were influenced by these revolutionary events are also mentioned. The theoretical part of the thesis provides an overview of relevant sources from significant researchers dealing with the Arab Spring. The practical part analyses specific data and, through comparative analysis, compares the periods before and after the revolutionary events. Despite the unavailability of some indicators due to the specific situation in the country before and after the revolution, it is possible to answer the main research question of this thesis through the available data. The main socioeconomic dimensions used for the research are development indicators, education, poverty, unemployment, health care and access to services.
