The Perception of Kitsch and Taste in Germany and the Czech Republic

Based on Czech and German literature, definitions and concepts of kitsch within both cultural communities will be analyzed in this bachelor thesis. Using other media, it will be determined whether kitsch is rather popular with people or it plays a negative role in the practical life. Na základě české a německé odborné literatury budou v bakalářské práci stanoveny definice a představy kýče v rámci obou kulturních společenství. Pomocí dalších médií se určí, jestli má kýč spíše oblibu či odsouzení v praktickém životě, popřípadě, jestli je komerčně úspěšný nebo ekonomický propadák.
