Abstract:
The aim of this thesis is the analysis of narrators in selected horror and detective stories by Edgar Allan Poe. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part deals with the definition of the narrator and the typologies of narrators by eminent literary theorists such as Wayne C. Booth, Franz K. Stanzel and Gérard Genette.
