Case management in the care of people with addictive behavior from the perspective of professionals of addictology ambulance

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá tématem přínosu case managementu v adiktologické ambulanci DRUG-OUT Klub v Ústí nad Labem. Práce popisuje vývoj case managementu od jeho počátků až do současné podoby. Do teoretické části je zahrnuta i nejaktuálnější metodika z tohoto roku, která popisuje činnost adiktologického multidisciplinárního týmu. Do teoretického výkladu pojmů je také zařazen pojem závislosti a diktologického poradenství. Na toto navazuje popis zmíněné organizace, ve které byl výzkum proveden. Praktická část zkoumá přínos case managementu v organizaci z pohledu jeho pracovníků a jaké nedostatky pracovníci vnímají v case managementu v Ústí nad Labem. Cílem práce je zjistit, jaký přínos má case management při práci s osobami se závislostním chováním. Metodou pro výzkumné řešení je polostrukturovaný rozhovor s pracovníky organizace, a to adiktology a sociálními pracovníky. Z výzkumu vyplývá, že case management do práce přináší spoustu výhod, a to možnost komplexně reagovat na všechny potřeby klienta najednou, díky zastoupení více odborností. Intenzivnější podporou a prací v přirozeném prostředí klienta dochází k navázání hlubšího vztahu mezi case managerem a klientem, čímž je pak klient v práci otevřenější. Výsledkem práce bude navrhnutí na zlepšení postupů v case managementu.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the topic of the benefits of case management in the addictological outpatient clinic DRUG-OUT Klub in Ústí nad Labem. The thesis describes the development of case management from its beginnings to its current form. The theoretical part also includes the most up-to-date methodology from this year, which describes the activities of the addictological multidisciplinary team. The theoretical interpretation of the terms also includes the concept of dependence and dictological counseling. This is followed by a description of the organization in which the research was conducted. The practical part examines the contribution of case management in the organization from the perspective of its employees and what shortcomings workers perceive in case management in Ústí nad Labem. The aim of the thesis is to find out what benefit case management has when working with people with addictive behavior. The method for the research solution is a semi-structured interview with the employees of the organization, namely addictologists and social workers. The research shows that case management brings a lot of advantages to work, namely the ability to respond comprehensively to all the client's needs at once, thanks to the representation of multiple expertise. With more intensive support and work in the client's natural environment, a deeper relationship is established between the case manager and the client, which makes the client more open at work. The result of the work will be a proposal to improve procedures in case management.
