The image of male gender in Takarazuka theatre

Abstract:

Předmětem této práce bylo zjistit, jakým způsobem je muž vytvářen na jevišti a jak je vnímána mužská role v divadle Takarazuka. Cílem práce je stanovit, jakými prostředky je muž prostřednictvím hereček vytvářen na jevišti. V první kapitole je popsán vznik a vývoj divadla Takarazuka. Druhá kapitola představuje herečky mužské role otokojaku a její prezentací na jevišti, termínem „dobré manželky, moudré matky“, kvůli kterému vznikají rozdíly názorů na divadlo ve společnosti. Na základě ztvárnění role jsou zde popsány techniky, kterým jsou otokojaku známé. Ve třetí kapitole je shrnut takzvaný „sekundární gender“, ke kterému patří chování hereček mimo jeviště. Součástí sekundárního genderu je termín „třetí pohlaví“ a dansó no reidžin, který je také spojován s herečkami otokojaku. V neposlední řadě se věnuji herečkám ženské role musumejaku a jejímu specifiku.

Abstract:

The subject of this thesis is to identify how the man is portrayed on stage and how the male role is perceived in the Takarazuka Theater. The aim of the thesis is to find out by what means a man is portrayed on stage through actresses. The first chapter describes the origin and development of the Takarazuka Theater. The second chapter introduces the actresses of the male role of otokoyaku and her presentation on stage, the term „good wife, wise mother”, due to which differences in opinion on the theater in society arise. Based on the embodiment of the role, techniques known to otokoyaku are described here. The third chapter summarizes the so-called „secondary gender“, which includes the behavior of actresses off stage. Part of secondary gender is the term „third sex“, and dansō no reijin, which is also associated with otokoyaku actresses. Lastly, I focus on the actresses of the female role musumeyaku and its specifics.
