Anotácia:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá motivací a její název je “Motivace studentů jako klíčový faktor ve výuce anglického jazyka.” Cílem této práce je prozkoumat důležité aspekty ve výuce anglického jazyka, které ovlivňují motivaci studentů, a následně také zájem studentů a jejich přístup ke studiu. Navzdory skutečnosti, že většina učitelů ví, že by měli své studenty ve výuce angličtiny motivovat, neděje se tomu tak. Značný počet učitelů nebere v potaz individuální zvláštnosti žáka, které mimo jiné zahrnují inteligenci žáka i jeho kompetence ke studiu. Navíc, někteří učitelé se příliš nezajímají o pocity, potřeby a přání žáků. V teoretické části, téma motivace je důkladně prozkoumáno a následně popsáno. Praktická část je založena na akčním výzkumu, který byl uskutečněn se studenty anglického jazyka a jejich učitelem na Základní škole v Bílovicích.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with motivation and its title is “Students’ motivation as a key factor in ELT.” The aim of this thesis is to focus on important aspects of English language teaching that affect students’ motivation, and consequently their interest and approach to studying. Despite the fact that most of the teachers know that they should keep their students of English motivated, it does not happen; moreover, a substantial number of teachers are not aware of various types of learners with different intelligences and competences for studying, and they are not much interested in their feelings, needs and wishes. In the theoretical part, the motivation issue is thoroughly examined and subsequently described. The practical part is based on the action research which was done with students of English and their teacher at the elementary school in Bílovice.
