Abstract:

Absolventská práce se zabývá tématem důstojnosti klientů v domovech pro seniory. Cílem výzkumu bylo popsat zkušenosti klientů se zásahy do jejich lidské důstojnosti při poskytování služeb v domově pro seniory. Jako metoda byl zvolen kvalitativní výzkum, a to konkrétně rozhovor, který nejlépe odpovídá stanovenému problému, cílové skupině i faktu, že zde hovoříme o lidských životech. Výsledky výzkumu ukázaly, že situace v domovech pro seniory je poměrně dobrá. Přesto byla navržena některá opatření pro praxi, jejichž aplikace by mohla situaci ještě zlepšit.

Abstract:

The final work deals with the topic of clients dignity in homes for the elderly. The aim of the research was to describe clients' experience with their human dignity being threatened while receiving services in homes for the elderly. Qualitative research in the form of an interview was chosen as the method suits our purpose the best as it respects the defined problem, the target group and the fact that we are talking about human lives here. The results of the research showed that the situation in homes for the elderly is basically in good state. Despite this fact, some practical remedies have been proposed in order to improve the situation even further.
