Potential of the technical monuments for tourism development in Czech Republic

Abstract:

Stěžejním tématem diplomové práce jsou technické památky a jejich využití v oblasti cestovního ruchu. Práce je rozdělena do pěti částí. První část se věnuje obecnému vymezení cestovního ruchu a současnému stavu cestovního ruchu v České republice. Následující kapitoly se věnují problematice lokální a regionální kultury a památkové ochraně v České republice. Čtvrtá kapitola se zaměřuje na technické památky. Najdeme zde definici a členění technických památek, či vysvětlení pojmu konverze ve smyslu využití technické památky k novému účelu. Na vybraných kulturních památkách technického charakteru v České republice je pak provedena SWOT analýza potenciálu technických památek pro rozvoj cestovního ruchu. Praktickou částí je zpracování vlastního návrhu konverze Nákladového nádraží Žižkov v Praze. Cílem projektu je vytvořit místo vhodné jak pro volnočasové aktivity obyvatel Žižkova, tak i pro aktivity potenciálních návštěvníků. Vhodné využití areálu bude mimo jiné vyplývat i z dotazníkového šetření.

Abstract:

The main topic of the thesis are technical monuments and their use in the field of tourism. The work is divided into five parts. The first part deals with the general definition of tourism and the current situation of tourism in the Czech Republic. The following chapters deal with issues of local and regional culture and heritage protection in the Czech Republic. The fourth chapter focuses on technical monuments. There we can find the definition and classification of technical monuments, or explanation of the concept of conversion in terms of the use of technical monuments to a new purpose. The selected technical cultural monuments in the Czech Republic are performed by the SWOT analysis of the technical potential sites for tourism development. The practical part deals with the conversion of the Freight station Žizkov in Prague. The aim of the project is to create a place suitable for leisure activities of Žižkov inhabitants, as well as activities for potential tourists. Appropriate use of the premises will follow from the survey.
