Possibilities of Application Software for Augmented Reality in the Context of Cognition the Reality

Abstract:

Bakalářská diplomová práce „Možnosti aplikačního softwaru pro rozšířenou realitu v kontextu poznávání reality“ se pokouší charakterizovat rozšířenou realitu jako nástupce reality virtuální. Cílem práce je zjistit, jaké nové možnosti tyto aplikační softwary přináší. V teoretické části se zabývá historií i charakteristikou virtuální reality a rozšířené reality (augmented reality). Možnostmi, které nově přináší rozšířená realita uživatelům programů využívající panoramatické snímky. Praktická část práce se zabývá vlastnostmi Google Street View jakožto průkopníka rozšířené reality v komparaci s aplikací 3D Návštěvy od Zlatých stránek a jejich nástupcem Panoramikou. Také se věnuje využití těchto aplikací prostřednictvím smartphonů, díky nimž lze využívat možnosti rozšířené reality přímo na ulici v reálném prostředí. Práce mapuje konkrétní využití v životě běžného uživatele, zajímá se o kladné i negativní aspekty jejich využití.

Abstract:

Bachelor thesis „Possibilities of application software for augmented reality in the context of cognition the reality“ is tried to characterize augmented reality as successor to virtual reality. The main objective this thesis is to determine what new opportunities these application softwares brings. The theoretical part is dealt with the history and the characteristics virtual reality and augmented reality. Possibilities, that augmented reality brings for users of the programs that use panoramic images. The practical part of the thesis is engaged in the properties of Google StreetView as a pioneer of augmented reality in comparison with application 3D Návštěvy by Zlaté stránky and their successor Panoramika. Thesis is also dealt with use these application through smartphones, for which can use of the possibilities augmented reality on a street in a real environment. The thesis charting practical use in the life of the standard user, is interested in positive as well as negative aspects of their use.
