Usage of electronic payment instruments in the Czech Republic and their comparison with the world

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce pojednává o současných možnostech využití elektronických platebních prostředků na území České republiky v porovnání se světem. Stěžejním cílem práce je provedení analýzy spotřebitelských preferencí v této oblasti. Zkoumána je především míra využití jednotlivých instrumentů. Teoretická část zahrnuje vysvětlení klíčových pojmů a další poznatky z odborných článků a literatury týkající se dané problematice. Na základě těchto informací je sestaven dotazník, prostřednictvím něhož je proveden průzkum v praktické části. K naplnění hlavního cíle bakalářské práce vede vyhodnocení dotazníkového šetření, které je založeno na komparaci získaných a očekávaných výsledků a následné analýze souvislostí mezi zaznamenanými odpověďmi. Po dokončení výzkumné činnosti se práce zabývá porovnáním českého a zahraničního trhu elektronických platebních prostředků. Zároveň poukazuje na změny ve využití některých bankovních produktů způsobené válečným konfliktem. V závěru se práce zaobírá aktuálními trendy a dalšími možnými směry vývoje v bankovní sféře.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the current possibilities of using electronic payment instruments in the Czech Republic in comparison with the world. The main goal of this thesis is to perform an analysis of consumer preferences in this area. Above all, the rate of utilization of each instruments is examined. The theoretical part includes an explanation of keywords and other findings from professional articles and literature related to the issue. Based on this information, a questionnaire is compiled, through which the survey is conducted in the practical part. The evaluation of the questionnaire survey, which is based on the comparison of the obtained and expected results and the subsequent analysis of the connections between recorded responses, leads to the fulfillment of the main goal of this bachelor thesis. After completing the research, the thesis deals with a comparison of the Czech and foreign markets for electronic payment instruments. The thesis also points to changes in the use of some banking products caused by the war. Finally, the thesis deals with current trends and other possible developments in the banking sector.
