The concept of good and evil of primary and lower secondary school children

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce pojednává o morálním vývoji dítěte, metodách zjišťování úrovně morálního usuzování, různých teoriích o dětské morálce a jejím vývoji a o problematice dobra a zla. Jsou zde vymezeny základní pojmy týkající se dané problematiky, kterými jsou například etika, morálka nebo dobro a zlo. Dále jsou zde popsány obecné vývojové změny u staršího a mladšího školního věku, různé koncepce a teorie morálního vývoje dětí, metody zjišťování a determinanty ovlivňující tento vývoj. Praktická část je složena z více částí. V první jsou popsány výsledky zjišťování dětské úrovně morálního usuzování na základě řešení upravených mikropříběhů Jeana Piageta, v druhé jsou popsány výsledky dětské kresby dobra a zla a v poslední části jsou popsány motivy dobra a zla, které dětem předkládají jejich oblíbené tituly dětské literatury.

Abstract:

Annotation This Bachelor thesis deals with the moral development of a child, with methods of determining the level of moral reasoning, with different theories on children's morality and its development and with the issue of good and evil. Some basic concepts related to this issue, such as ethics, morality or good and evil, are defined in this thesis. This paper also describes general developmental changes in primary and lower secondary school age as well as different concepts and theories of moral development of children, methods of detection and determinants of this development. The practical part consists of several parts. The first one describes the results of survey of children's level of moral reasoning based on solving modified Jean Piaget's micro-stories, the second one describes the results of children's drawings of good and evil, and the last part describes the motives of good and evil, which are presented to children in their favorite titles of children's literature.
