Analysis of the competitive position of a particular company

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce řeší konkurenční pozici firmy František Žižka – Podlahářství f.o. zabývající se pokládkou podlahových krytin, montáží žaluzií a dveří. Vyvozuje závěry jakou strukturu toto prostředí má, čeho je to důsledkem a co dělat pro odstranění nežádoucích jevů. Pro zjištění byly aplikovány metody vnitřního a vnějšího prostředí, s metodou posuzující finanční zdraví podniku. Konkrétněji to jsou metody Porterova modelu, STEP analýzy, analýzy konkurenceschopnosti, finanční analýzy a SWOT analýzy. Analýzy byly aplikovány na působení podniku v letech 2008 až 2010, přičemž v roce 2009 rozšířil portfolio nabízených služeb. Z výsledků analýz je patrné, že podnik si vede vcelku slušně. Dále analýzy vyjádřily skutečnost, že podnik má své budoucí perspektivy a v něm zvolené strategie se majiteli vyplácí a vrací v podobě každoročního zisku, který má vliv na kvalitu podniku. Tudíž lze předpokládat, že podnik bude z tohoto hlediska dále prosperovat.

Abstract:

The work addresses to the competitive position of František Žižka company - Flooring f.o. dealing with the laying of floor coverings, assembly of blinds and doors . It deals with the environmental structure, results and possibilities of eliminating undesirable phenomena. There were applied methods of internal and external environment, the method of assessing the financial health of the company. More specifically, these are methods of Porter's model, the STEP analysis, competitive analysis, financial analysis and SWOT analysis. Analyses were applied to operating in the years 2008 to 2010, while in 2009 portfolio of services was expanded. The results of the analysis show that the company is doing quite decent. Further the analyses show that the company has its future prospects, and the chosen strategies support the owner and pay back in terms of annual income, which affects the quality of the company. Thus we can assume that the company will prosper.
