Sources of inflationary pressures

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis will be to evaluate the sources of inflationary pressures in selected economies during the observed period. The macroeconomic structural vector autoregressive (SVAR) model will be a tool for fulfilling the set goal. The content of the work is an overview of the literature focused on the modelling of the determinants of inflationary pressures in various economies, the presentation of stylized facts of the examined economies and the presentation of data, methodology and tools that serve precisely to evaluate inflationary pressures. At the end, there is an interpretation of the achieved results.

Abstract:

Cieľom tejto bakalárskej práce bude vyhodnotiť determinanty inflačných tlakov vo vybraných ekonomikách počas pozorovaného obdobia. Nástrojom pre naplnenie stanoveného cieľa bude makroekonomický štrukturálny vektorový autoregresný (SVAR) model. Obsahom práce je prehľad literatúry zameranej na modelovanie determinantov inflačných tlakov v rôznych ekonomikách, predstavenie štylizovaných faktov skúmaných ekonomík a predstavenie dát, metodológie a nástrojov, ktoré slúžia práve na vyhodnotenie inflačných tlakov. Na záver nechýba interpretácia dosiahnutých výsledkov.
