Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je vyvinout aplikaci, která vytvoří portfolio z otevřených podílových fondů nabízených Českou spořitelnou. Tento investiční nástroj byl vybrán vzhledem k jeho rostoucí popularitě a dostupnosti. V práci je stručné pojednání o podílových fondech, jsou zde popsány základní typy fondů, druhy řízení fondů, výhody a nevýhody fondů. Dále je stručně rozebrán Markowitzův model, včetně jeho statistických ukazatelů a popisu principu diverzifikace. V aplikaci je na výběr 46 fondů, které jsou stručně popsány pomocí statistických ukazatelů pro získání základních informací. Následně je pospán vývoj aplikace v prostředí Rstudio využívající Markowitzův model, včetně použitého kódu, který je rozebrán z hlediska funkčnosti jednotlivých komponentů. Hotová aplikace je doplněna podrobným návodem jejího využití. Na závěr jsou sestavena a zanalyzována čtyři portfolia s okomentovaným výstupem z aplikace. Ve zvoleném demonstrativním příkladu je ukázáno, jak lze pomocí diverzifikace docílit lepší výnosnosti při nižší míře rizika než u ostatních porovnávaných portfolií. Pomocí vyvinuté aplikace je investor schopen sestavit optimální portfolio vybraných podílových fondů při požadované míře výnosu. V případě, kdy investor nebude požadovat konkrétní cílový výnos nebo nebude existovat portfolio k tomuto cílovému výnosu, je možné nechat si vypočíst aplikací průměrný výnos portfolia složený z vybraných fondů.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to develop an application which creates a portfolio of mutual funds offered by Česká spořitelna. This investment tool was chosen due to its growing popularity and availability. The thesis briefly describes the mutual funds, their basic types, and the types of fund management as well as their advantages and disadvantages. Further, this thesis talks about the Markowitz model including its statistical indicators, and the principle of diversification. The application provides 46 different funds which are, in order to provide basic information, described by using statistical indicators. Later the thesis focuses on the development of the application in the Rstudio environment using the Markowitz model as well as on the description of the used code which is analyzed from the perspective of functionality of its individual components. The finished application is provided with detailed instructions for its use. Finally, four different portfolios with annotated application output are built and analyzed. On the selected illustrative example it is shown how to achieve better profitability at lower level of risk than the other compared portfolios. Thanks to the developed application the investor is able to build optimal portfolio of selected mutual funds at the required return rate. In a case that the investor will not require a particular target rate or there will be no portfolio to this target rate, it is possible to have the application calculate the average return of the portfolio composed of selected funds.
