Abstract:

V diplomové práci „Historie a současnost spotřební kultury – sociální a psychologické aspekty moderního konzumenství“ jsou popsány teoretická východiska konzumní kultury a konzumní společnosti. Práce se zabývá se historickým vývojem spotřební kultury až po současnost. V praktické části práce je provedeno kvalitativní šetření, prostřednictvím polostrukturovaného rozhovoru k výzkumu mladých dospělých. V souvislosti moderního konzumenství se diplomová práce snaží přispět k poznání životní spokojenosti a materiální hodnotové orientace vysokoškolských studentů. V oblasti spotřební kultury vyvstávají mnohé otázky z různých vědních disciplín, avšak v této práci je důraz kladen především na psychologické a sociální aspekty moderního konzumenství.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis ,,History and Present of Consumer Culture - Social and Psychological Aspects of Modern Consumption“ describes the theoretical basis of the history of consumption and consuming society. This thesis devotedly provides a literature review of the most essential pieces of work of sociological authors that dealt with consumption. Furthermore, it covers the historical development of the consumer culture up to the present. The practical part demonstrates the literature review of the adults’ research. The research probe is created in a process of a semi-structured interview with various representatives of universities. Moreover, the diploma thesis offers a contribution to the knowledge of life satisfaction measures and material value orientation of university students in the context of modern consumption. Even though there are numerous questions arising from various scientific disciplines within the field of the history of consumption, this thesis concentrates on the psychological and social aspects of modern consumption.
