Development of Biomass Energy Use in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se zabývá různými druhy biomasy a jejím energetickým využitím. Konkrétně využitím biomasy pro kombinovanou výrobu tepla a elektrické energie. Technologie na využití biomasy je nejprve představena z teoretického hlediska. V praktické části se pak práce zaměřuje na pokrytí spotřeby tepelné a elektrické energie rodinného domu pomocí mikrokogenerační jednotky a fotovoltaického systému. Dalším krokem návrhu byly simulace řízení výroby a spotřeby elektrické a tepelné energie. V závěru práce je tento návrh porovnán z ekonomického a energetického hlediska s kotlem na uhlí a dřevo, který byl ve studovaném objektu nainstalován před výměnou za tepelné čerpadlo.

Abstract:

This master thesis deals with different types of biomass and their energy utilization. The main focus is on combined heat and power generation (cogeneration). The potential of biomass in the energy sector is first introduced from the theoretical point of view. The practical part aims to design a self-sufficient energy house with biomass cogeneration units and photovoltaic system. The next step in the design was simulation of controlled production and consumption of heat and power energy. At the end of this work, the design is compared to a coal and wood boiler that used to be in the house before the installation of the heat pump.
