Comparison of investment into stocks and government bonds

Abstract:

In this paper, a Limited Liability company (LLC) called Uralsvyazinform (a major telecommunications provider in Russia) is analyzed for its investment prospects, as well as United States government securities, for comparison purposes. In the theoretical part of the paper, the features of securities are discussed, the major concept of the “time value of money” is explained, and the types of United States government securities are expounded upon. Then, in the practical part of the paper, Uralsvyazinform is finally analyzed according to the knowledge previously bestowed upon the reader in the theoretical part. Finally, U.S. government securities are compared for their investment attractiveness. In conclusion, a suggested investment strategy into bonds is provided, as well as an explanation of why an investor might invest in Uralsvyazinform.
