Demographic and socio-economic spatial differentiation of health inequalities in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Diplomová práce „Demografické a socioekonomické prostorové diferenciace nerovností ve zdraví v České republice“ má za cíl objasnit prostorové nerovnosti ve zdraví na úrovni okresů České republiky, a to na základě vybraných determinantů ze socioekonomické, ademografické oblasti. Kzávěrečnému vyhodnocení prostorových diferenciací mezi okresy byl využit souhrnný kompozitní indikátor. Na základě výsledků lze konstatovat, že podle zvolených determinant včetně jejich příslušných ukazatelů, skutečně existují zdravotní diferenciace mezi okresy v České republice. Nejlepšího postavení dle KI dosáhly okresy Praha (764), Praha-západ (666) a Brno-město (666). Naopak nejhorší výsledky KI byly zjištěny v okresech Most (277), Louny (286) a Sokolov (321). Na základě provedených analýz a zjištěných výsledků byly navrhnuty doporučení, která by mohla zdravotní diferenciace ve zdraví mezi okresy v České republice snížit.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis "Demographic and socio-economic spatial differentiation of health inequalities in the Czech Republic" aims to clarify spatial inequalities in health at the district level of the Czech Republic, based on selected determinants from the socio-economic and demographic area. A comprehensive composite indicator was used for the final evaluation of spatial differences between districts. Based on the results, it can be stated that according to the selected determinants, including their respective indicators, there really are health differences between districts in the Czech Republic. According to CI, the districts of Praha (764), Praha-zapad (666) and Brno-mesto (666) achieved the best position. On the contrary, the worst CI results were found in the districts of Most (277), Louny (286) and Sokolov (321). Based on the performed analyzes and the obtained results, recommendations were proposed that could reduce health differentiation in health between districts in the Czech Republic.
