Reasons for choosing tertiary education

Abstract:

Teoretická část bakalářské práce se zabývá důvody a faktory výběru terciárního vzdělávání. V první části popisuji, jak probíhá rozhodovací proces ohledně volby dalšího vzdělávání a kariéry. Druhá část se zabývá faktory ovlivňující výběr studijního oboru a vysoké školy. Třetí část se zaobírá dostupnými informačními zdroji, které mohou pomoci žákovi v rozhodování. Poslední část teoretické části nastiňuje možná úskalí v rozhodování a ve špatném výběru vysoké školy. V empirické části předkládám výsledky šetření týkající se důvodů výběru oboru Sociální pedagogika, a možnými vlivy působící na toto rozhodování. Nejprve stanovuji výzkumný cíl a výzkumné otázky, a po té předkládám získaná data z šetření. Výsledky tohoto výzkumu jsou porovnávány s ostatními studiemi na toto téma, a jsou řešeny možné příčiny a dopady vlivů na toto rozhodování.

Abstract:

This theoretical part of the bachelor thesis deals with the reasons and factors of choice of tertiary education. In the first part I describe how the decision-making process is taking place and above all the decision-making process concerning the selection of further education and careers. The second part deals with the factors influencing the choice of the study branch and choice of the college. The third part deals with the available information resources that can help the student in making decisions. The last part of the theoretical part shows possible difficulties in decision making and bad selection of university. In the empirical part, I present the results of the survey concerning the reasons for choosing the field of Social Pedagogy and possible influences on this decision. First, I set the research goal and research questions and then I submit the obtained data from the survey. The results of this research are compared with other studies, and the possible causes and impacts of influences on this decision are outlined.
