Abstract:

Nadnárodní společnosti jsou stěžejními, kapitálově i politicky nesmírně silnými a prostorově rozsáhlými součástmi globalizované světové ekonomiky. Teoretická část práce se soustřeďuje na specifika organizování a řízení nadnárodních společností a přináší inovovaný a konzistentní pohled na organizační struktury velkých podnikatelských seskupení. Výzkumná část práce vychází z výsledků šetření realizovaného v rámci Centra výzkumu konkurenční schopnosti české ekonomiky v letech 2010 a 2011, které podrobně graficky a statisticky analyzuje a dává do vzájemných souvislostí. Cílem práce bylo zjistit, jaké dopady má organizační strategie nadnárodní společnosti podle typologie Bartletta a Ghoshala na management české pobočky, přičemž k dosažení cíle vede postupné vyhodnocování pěti výzkumných otázek zaměřených na organizační strategie nadnárodních společností, jejich projevy v rámci českých poboček, internacionalizační strategie, vzájemný vztah mezi oběma strategickými přístupy a dopady organizační strategie na řízení českých poboček. Práce v závěru přináší ucelený teoretický pohled na vztah mezi centrálou a českou pobočkou nadnárodní společnosti včetně praktických doporučení pro praxi i výuku.

Abstract:

Multinational companies are the fundamental, capital and politically extremely strong and spatially large parts of the globalized world economy. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on the specifics of the organization and management of multinational companies and offers innovative and consistent view of the organizational structures of large business groups. The research is based on the results of the survey conducted at the Research Centre for the Competitiveness of the Czech Economy in 2010 and 2011, which is graphically and statistically analyzed and gave into context at great length. The aim of the study was to determine the impacts of organizational strategy of multinational companies according to Bartlett and Ghoshal typology on the Czech branch management. The objective was achieved by successive evaluation of five research questions focused on the organizational strategies of multinational companies and their manifestations within the Czech branches, internationalization strategies, mutual relationship between the two strategic approaches and impacts of the organizational strategy on management of the Czech branches. Doctoral thesis at the end gives a comprehensive theoretical view of the relationship between headquarters and the Czech branch of multinational companies including practical recommendations for practice and teaching.
