Abstract:

Předmětem diplomové práce „Historie a současnost centrálních bank“ je zpracování důvodů vzniku, vývoje a aktuálního postavení, poslání a cílů centrálních bank. První část bude věnována vzniku centrálních bank, způsobu jejich založení a jejich charakteristickým rysům. Druhá část nás blíže seznámí s měnovou politikou centrálních bank, zejména s nepřímými měnovými nástroji. V třetí části budou uvedeny příklady nestandardních nástrojů měnové politiky a v části čtvrté si demonstrujeme jejich použití při výkonu měnové politiky Evropské centrální banky a České národní banky.

Abstract:

The goal of the master thesis “History and Current Situation of Central Banks” is to process the causes of Central Bank’s establishment and development, as well as their current status, role and goals. The first part of thesis will be concerned about establishment of central banks, the way of their establishment and their characteristic features. The second part will contain introduction into the monetary policy of central banks, in particular into indirect monetary instruments. Examples of non-standard monetary policy instruments will be presented in third part, and in the fourth part their use will be demonstrated in the performance of the monetary policy of the European Central Bank and the Czech National Bank.
