Information System for Cybersecurity Qualifications

Abstract:

The subject of the thesis was the design and implementation of an information system for managing qualifications in cybersecurity. The information system is part of the CyQUAL platform, which is made up of several components. The platform's role is to maintain a unifying view of job role requirements in the context of cybersecurity. Once logged in, the information system allows the user to view the data and suggest changes that can be accepted and added to the official unifying framework. The thesis aimed to design and implement an information system for managing cybersecurity qualifications. The information system allows authentication for two types of roles. The design of the information system included the creation of a data model for the entire platform. It was necessary to design and implement a REST API for the information system that allowed easy integration into the platform. The set objectives were achieved. The work in the first part presents the problem domain and the whole platform in which the information system is embedded. The following section analyses the state of the art of the platform development. The most significant part of the thesis is devoted to the design of the data model, the architecture of the system, the chosen technologies, and especially the implementation details that describe the system's internal workings. The last part focuses on the quality assurance methods used.

Abstract:

Predmetom diplomovej práce bol návrh a implementácia informačného systému pre správu kvalifikácií v oblasti kybernetickej bezpečnosti. Informačný systém je súčasťou platformy CyQUAL, ktorá je tvorená viacerými komponentmi. Úlohou platformy je udržovať jednotiaci pohľad na požiadavky pracovných rolí v kontexte kybernetickej bezpečnosti. Informačný systém umožňuje po prihlásení prehľadávať dáta a navrhovať zmeny, ktoré môžu byť akceptované a pridané do oficiálneho jednotiaceho rámcu. Cieľom diplomovej práce bolo navrhnúť a implementovať informačný systém pre správu kyberkvalifikácií. Informačný systém umožňuje autentifikáciu pre dva typy rolí. Súčasťou návrhu informačného systému bol aj návrh dátového modelu, nad ktorým sa budovala celá platforma. Pre informačný systém bolo potrebné navrhnúť a implementovať REST API, ktoré umožňovalo jednoduchú integráciu informačného systému do platformy. Stanovené ciele sa podarilo splniť. Práca v prvej časti predstavuje problémovú doménu a celú platformu, do ktorej je informačný systém zasadený. V ďalšej časti sa venuje analýze stavu vývoja platformy. Najväčšia časť práce sa venuje návrhu dátového modelu, architektúre systému, zvoleným technológiám a najmä implementačným detailom, ktoré popisujú interné fungovanie systému. Posledná časť je zameraná na použité spôsoby zabezpečovania kvality.
