Evaluation of general health condition in child patients with bronchial asthma

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá zvyšujícím se výskytem astma bronchiale u dětí, možnosti jeho prevence, odhalení, léčby a následné rehabilitační terapii. Statistiky ale ukazují, že astmatických dětí neustále přibývá. Astma je přitom dnes velmi dobře léčitelné. Hlavním cílem léčby astmatu je uvést astma pod kontrolu tak, aby se neprojevovaly příznaky dušností nebo ztíženého dýchání a neomezovalo dítě v jeho běžných činnostech. V práci objektivně zhodnocuji antropometrické údaje, BMI, % rozložení tuků a tělesnou zdatnost pacientů ve srovnání se zdravými jedinci. Cílem diplomové práce bylo zjistit zda existuje statisticky významný rozdíl naměřených hodnot mezi pacienty a zdravými jedinci

Abstract:

The thesis offered is focused on increasing incidence of bronchial asthma in children, especially on possibilities of its prevention, detection, therapy and subsequent rehabilitation. However, the statistic data show the increasing number of children patients with asthma. Nowadays, the therapy of bronchial asthma is much more efficient than in the past. The main goal of asthma therapy is to control asthma in such way to prevent symtpoms of breathlessness or difficult breathing and to prevent asthma from limiting the child in everyday activities. In this work, the anthropometric values, the BMI, the body fat distribution and fitness of the patients is compared with the group of healthy subjects. The objective of this thesis is to determine the statistically significant differences of values obtained between healthy group and patients with bronchial asthma
