Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the linguistic sign theory, mainly from the point of view of the Swiss linguist Ferdinand de Saussure, but also from the point of view of Charles Sanders Peirce and semiotics. The work is divided into four fundamental chapters, and a glossary is enclosed in the end, providing the definitions to numerous important terms that occur in the text. Attention is paid to the life of F. de Saussure, and to the authors who drew inspiration from him, as well as to his Course of General Linguistics, the semiotics and, of course, to a great extent, the thesis analyses the linguistic sign itself and its characteristic traits.

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá teorií lingvistického znaku, zejména z pohledu švýcarského jazykovědce Ferdinanda de Saussura, ale také z pohledu Charlese Sanderse Peirceho a z pohledu sémiotiky. Práce je členěna do čtyř základních kapitol, na závěr je připojen glosář, který obsahuje definice četných pojmů, které se v práci vyskytují. Pozornost je věnována životu F. de Saussura a autorům, kteří se jím nechali inspirovat, dále pak jeho dílu Kurz obecné lingvistiky, sémiotice, a samozřejmě do velké míry samotnému lingvistickému znaku a jeho charakteristickým znakům.
