The biologic potential of the trees localised in park belonging to The Chateau Neuberk and specification of the management measurements for maintaining or increasing this potential

Abstract:

Biodiverzita organismů vázaných na stromy se neustále snižuje v důsledku měnícího se klimatu, úbytku přirozených ekologických nik a intenzivního managementu veřejné i soukromé zeleně a proto tato práce zkoumá biodiverzitu v Zámeckém parku Neuberk v Mělníku. Park v současnosti svými specifiky nabízí mnoho různých habitatů pro bezpočet organismů, zejména pak organismů vázaných na stromy. Na stanovišti bylo nalezeno několik zvláštně chráněných druhů obratlovců i bezobratlých. Tato práce po vyhodnocení nálezů a zhodnocení stavu stromů navrhuje ošetření stromů tak, aby bylo dosaženo ideálního kompromisu mezi udržením maximálního možného biologického potenciálu a provozní bezpečností. Dále jsou navržena nadstavbová managementová opatření v podobě alternativních přístupů v péči o zeleň tak, aby podpořila biodiverzitu na stanovišti v dlouhodobém horizontu.

Abstract:

The organism biodiversity bound to trees is constantly decreasing due to the climate changes, vanishing of natural shelters and intensive management of public and private greenery. This thesis analyzes biodiversity in the park Neuberk in Mělník. Specific conditions of the park currently offer variety of habitats for number of organisms, especially those bound to trees. There were found several specially protected species (under the law rules for Czech Republic) of both vertebrates and invertebrates at the locality. On the basis of the outputs evaluation and the tree assessment this thesis proposes cultivation measures in order to reach an ideal compromise between maintaining the highest possible biologic potential and the operating safety of trees. Furthermore, there are proposed additional management measurements offering an alternative approach in order to boost biodiversity at this location in long term view.
