Performance management in selected public institutions

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce zkoumá výkonnostní management ve veřejném sektoru na příkladu Hasičského sboru územního odboru Svitavy. Teoretická část poskytuje přehled klíčových pojmů spojených s výkonnostním managementem, veřejnou správou a motivací zaměstnanců. Praktická část obsahuje dotazníkové šetření hodnotící zajištění výkonnostního managementu a motivaci zaměstnanců. Výsledky slouží k posouzení účinnosti stávajícího systému. Cílem práce je zhodnotit efektivitu výkonnostního managementu Hasičského sboru územního odboru Svitavy. Závěr prezentuje klíčové poznatky z dotazníkového šetření. Přestože zaměstnanci obecně přijímají výkonnostní management pozitivně, identifikované nejistoty a nedostatky ukazují na potřebu dalšího zkoumání a následných kroků ke zlepšení v této oblasti ve veřejném sektoru.

Abstract:

The bachelor`s thesis examines performance management in the public sector using the example of the Fire Department of the territorial department of Svitavy. The theoretical part provides an overview of key terms associated with performance management, public administration and employee motivation. The practical part contains a questionnaire survey evaluating the provision of performance management and employee motivation. The results serve to assess the effectiveness of the existing system. The aim of the work is to evaluate the effectiveness of the performance management of the Fire Department of the territorial department of Svitavy. The conclusion presents the key findings from the questionnaire survey. Although performance management is generally accepted positively by employees, the identified uncertainties and shortcomings point to the need for further investigation and subsequent steps to improve this area in the public sector.
