Abstract:
Edwardsův syndrom je závažné onemocnění, způsobené přítomností nadbytečného chromozomu 18. Může postihnout obě pohlaví, u postižených jedinců se objevují mnohočetné abnormality. Pravděpodobnost vzniku je ovlivněna věkem matky. Tato práce popisuje metody diagnostiky a charakteristické rysy, včetně vnitřních a vnějších malformací. Zahrnuje také možné chirurgické zákroky a péči o tyto pacienty.Abstract:
Edwards syndrome is a serious disease caused by the presence of an extra chromosome 18. It can affect both sexes. Affected individuals develop multiple abnormalities. The likehood of this occuring is affected by maternal age. This work describes diagnostic methods and characteristic features, including internal and external malformations.
