Diagnostics of financial indicators of self-managing organizations in comparison with management-hierarchical organizations

Abstract:

Samořídící organizace mají velký potenciál generování hodnoty, přestože maximalizace zisku není jejích hlavním cíle. Zdají se tak být konkurenceschopnou alternativou tradičním manažersky-hierarchickým organizacím, jejichž hlavním cílem je generování zisku. Doposud nebyla provedena žádná studie, která by důkladně porovnávala ukazatele finanční výkonností samořídících a manažersky-hierarchických organizací. Analýza 10 samořídících a 10 manažersky – hierarchických organizací prokázala, že manažersky-hierarchické převyšují samořídící organizace pouze v rámci generování EBIT, EVA a obratovosti aktiv. V rámci ukazatelů ROE, re, ROA, ROS, equity ratio si vedou signifikantně lépe samořídící organizace. Tento poznatek ukazuje finanční sílu systému samořídících organizací zaměřených svou činností na dlouhodobost a je tak nejspíše jen otázkou času a růstu těchto organizací, než překonají generováním zisku manažersky-hierarchické organizace.

Abstract:

Self-managing organizations have great potential for generating value, although profit maximization is not their main goal. They thus seem to be a strong competitor to traditional managerial-hierarchical organizations whose main goal is to generate profit. To date, no study has been conducted to thoroughly compare the financial performance indicators of self-governing and managerial-hierarchical organizations. The analysis of 10 self-governing and 10 managerial-hierarchical organizations showed that managerial-hierarchical organizations outperform self-governing organizations only in terms of EBIT, EVA and asset turnover generation. Within the indicators ROE, re, ROA, ROS, equity ratio, self-governing organizations perform significantly better. This finding shows the financial strength of the system of self-governing organizations focused on their long-term activities and is thus probably only a matter of time and growth of these organizations, before overcoming the generation of profits of managerial-hierarchical organizations.
