Comparison of investement stategies including the results of the fund II.pillar pension reform with investing in mutual funds

Abstract:

Cílem mé práce je porovnání dvou možností investování, a to investování v II. pilíři důchodové reformy a investování do otevřených podílových fondů. Práci jsem doplnila o třetí pilíř důchodové reformy. V první části se zabývám důchodovou reformou a historií důchodového systému. V druhé části se zabývám popisem druhého pilíře, kde se zaměřuji na charakteristiku II. Pilíře, výhody, nevýhody a jeho vývoj do současnosti. Třetí část je zaměřená na III. Pilíř důchodového systému před a po reformě, ve které se podrobněji zabývám transformovanými a účastnickými fondy. Čtvrtá část je věnována otevřeným podílovým fondům, kde stručně charakterizuji jednotlivé fondy. V páté části práce analyzuji jednotlivé dluhopisové fondy, které jsem si zvolila k porovnávání. V šesté části se věnuji analýze vybraných akciových fondů. V poslední části porovnávám vybrané produkty na základě různých ukazatelů. V závěru práce se budu věnovat otázce, zdali je lepší se spoléhat na profesionální odborníky v penzijních fondech či se věnovat individuálnímu investování.

Abstract:

The aim of my thesis is to compare two investment options, an investment in the second pillar pension reform to investment in mutual funds. As an addition to this thesis I added the third pillar of the pension reform. The first part deals with the pension reform and the history of the pension system. The second part focuses on the characteristics of the second pillar, its advantages, disadvantages and the current development process. The third part is focused on the third pillar of the pension system before and after the reform, and also transformed funds and participating funds. The fourth part is devoted to mutual funds, in which I briefly describe the nature of the individual funds. In the fifth chapter I analyse and compare selected individual bond funds. In the sixth part I focus on the analysis of selected equity funds. The last section is devoted to comparing products based on selected indicators and the subsequent determination of recommendations for individual clients. The final conclusion will seek an answer to a question whether to rely on professional experts in pension funds or engage individual investment.
