Property taxes in EU

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá majetkovými daněmi ve státech EU v letech 2005 až 2020. Práce je rozdělena do tří částí. První kapitola vymezuje pojem daň, vlastnosti, které by měla daň splňovat a možnosti třídění daní. Dále se podrobněji věnuje majetkovým daním, popisuje různé typy majetkových ve státech EU, zabývá se možnými distribučními dopady majetkových daní a jejich potencionálním vlivem na ekonomický růst. Druhá kapitola vysvětluje význam jednotlivých typů majetkových daní v daňových mixech států EU v letech 2005 až 2020. Poslední část se zabývá analýzou vývoje významu majetkových daní na HDP v zemích EU v letech 2005 až 2020. Tato analýza je provedena pomocí modelů lineární regrese. Na jejichž základě je vyhodnoceno, jestli faktory jako ekonomická vyspělost, míra nerovnosti a důchodová struktura HDP, ovlivňují nějakým způsobem trendy významu majetkových

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with property taxes in EU countries between 2005 and 2020. The thesis is divided into three parts. The first chapter defines the concept of tax, the characteristics that a tax should fulfil and the possibilities of tax classification. It then looks in more detail at property taxes, describes the different types of property taxes in EU countries, and discusses the possible distributional effects of property taxes and their potential impact on economic growth. The second section explains the importance of different types of wealth taxes in the tax mixes of EU countries between 2005 and 2020. The last section analyses the evolution of the importance of wealth taxes on GDP in EU countries between 2005 and 2020. This analysis is carried out using linear regression models. On the basis of which it is evaluated whether factors such as economic development, the degree of inequality and the income structure of GDP have any influence on the trends in the importance of property taxes on GDP.
