The influence of the urban heat island on the phenology of tree species

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem této diplomové práce bylo pozorování nástupů do fenologických fází, délek trvání jednotlivých fenofází, arboristické zhodnocení a posouzení dendrologického potenciálu vybraných dřevin. Pozorování probíhalo ve vegetačním období roku 2021 na 4 lokalitách ve městě Hradec Králové: lokalita s velkou zástavbou, s malou zástavbou, městský park a okrajová část města. Na každé lokalitě byly sledovány 3 druhy dřevin: Betula pendula Roth, Quercus robur L. a Tilia cordata Mill., jež byly podrobeny fotodokumentací. Zjištěné výsledky byly popsány a zobrazeny v tabulkách a grafech. Výsledným výstupem je posouzení míry vlivu městského prostředí na dřeviny z hlediska fenologie a arboristiky.

Abstract:

The main goal of this diploma thesis was to observe the onset of phenological phases, the duration of individual phenophases, arboricultural evaluation and assessment of the dendrological potential of the given tree species. The observation took place in the vegetation period of 2021 at 4 localities in the city of Hradec Králové: a locality with a large development, with a small development, a city park and the outskirts of the city. 3 species of woody plants were monitored at each locality: Betula pendula Roth, Quercus robur L. and Tilia cordata Mill., Which were subjected to photo documentation. The results were described and shown in tables and graphs. The final output is an assessment of the degree of influence of the urban environment on tree species in terms of phenology and arboriculture.
