Manifestations of children aggression in the process of adaptation to a collective in a kindergarten

Abstract:

Cílem bakalářské práce bylo zmapovat projevy agresivního chování u dětí v předškolním věku v procesu adaptace na prostředí mateřské školy a praktické strategie zvládání agrese u dětí pedagogy mateřských škol. Teoretická část definuje základní pojmy – agresivita a agrese, věnuje se jejich základnímu členění, teoriím příčin agrese, typům agrese, rizikovým faktorům zvyšujícím potenciální agresi, nejběžnějším vývojovým poruchám, poruchám chování a osobnosti pojícími se s agresí a rozdíly v agresi z pohledu gender. Dále se zabývá institucionálním předškolním vzděláváním, jeho specifiky a procesem adaptace dítěte na toto prostředí z hlediska nově vznikajících interpersonálních a intrapersonálních konfliktů. Závěrem hledá vhodné praktické strategie v procesu zvládání agrese dětí v prostředí mateřských škol. Praktická část pomocí dotazníkového šetření zjišťuje četnost a rozdíly v agresi mezi dětmi v mateřských školách na Brněnsku a v okolí z hlediska pohlaví a doby adaptace na prostředí mateřské školy. Současně pak mapuje jednotlivé strategie tamních pedagogů v procesu zvládání agrese u svěřených dětí. Závěr práce shrnuje a vyhodnocuje zjištěná data.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis was to find out aggressive behavior of preschool age children in the process of adaptation to the environment of kindergarten and to find out practical strategies for managing children´s aggression by teachers in kindergarten. The theoretical part defines basic terms – aggressiveness and aggression, dedicates to their basic division, to the theories of the causes of aggression, to the types of aggression, to the potential risk factors increasing for aggression, to the most common developmental disorders, behavioral and emotional disorders and personality disorders associated with aggression and differences in aggression from the perspective of gender. It also deals with institutional preschool education, its specifics and with a process of children´s adaptation to the environment of kindergarten in terms of emerging interpersonal and intrapersonal conflicts. Finally, seek appropriate practical strategies in the process of coping with children´s aggression in the kindergarten. The practical part, of using the questionnaire, determines the frequency and differences in aggression among children, in preschools in Brno and surroundings, in terms of gender and period of adaptation to the environment of kindergarten. At the same is mapping the individual strategies of local teachers in the process of coping with children´s aggression. The conclusion summarizes and evaluates the observed data.
