This Bachelor thesis deals with culture and policy of memory. These reccent phenomenons are we meeting every day in various forms. This work is trying to do a deeper understanding of these sciences and investigates, if and how much are they current today. Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá kulturou a politikou vzpomínání. Tyto fenomény poslední doby potkáváme každý den v různých formách. Práce se snaží o hlubší poznání těchto věd a zkoumá, jestli a do jaké míry jsou v dnešní době aktuální. Zaměřuje se hlavně na událost z 31.7.1945, která bývá označována jako tzv. ústecký masakr.
