Anotace:

Interné hrozby sú jednou z najvýraznejších výziev v oblasti kybernetickej bezpečnosti. Odhaľujú sa oveľa ťažšie ako vonkajšie hrozby, pretože zasvätené osoby sú oprávnenými zamestnancami s legitímnym prístupom k zdrojom organizácie. Kvôli tomu je detekcia a zmierňovanie vnútorných hrozieb významným výskumným problémom. Táto práca je zameraná na prístup, ktorý analyzuje interné hrozby s primárnym zameraním na základný proces prebiehajúci počas hrozby. Cieľom je klásť dôraz na transparentnosť použitého modelu, a doplniť tak súčasný stav o hlbšie pochopenie interných hrozieb z hľadiska procesu a správnej reakcie na zistené hrozby. Poskytujeme prehľad súčasných techník a popisujeme smery nášho výskumu spolu s myšlienkami, ktoré stoja za navrhovaným prístupom k detekcii a zmierneniu interných hrozieb. Tento prístup pomôže prekonať súčasné obmedzenia detekcie vnútorných hrozieb. Okrem toho bude tento prístup prispôsobený pre analýzu školení o kybernetickej bezpečnosti s cieľom zvýšiť ich kvalitu, čo pomôže zmierniť vnútorné hrozby v organizáciách.

Abstract:

Insider threats are one of the most significant cybersecurity challenges. They are much more difficult to detect than external threats since insiders are authorized employees with legitimate access to the organization's resources. This makes the detection and mitigation of insider threats a significant research problem. This thesis proposal is focused on the approach that analyzes insider threats with the primary focus on the underlying process happening during the threat. The aim is to put emphasis on the transparency of the used model and therefore complement the state of the art with a deeper understanding of insider threats in terms of process and proper response to detected threats. We provide a review of the current state of the art approaches and describe the directions of our research with the ideas behind the proposed insider attack detection and mitigation approach. This approach will help to overcome the current limitations of insider threat detection. Moreover, it will be adapted for the cybersecurity training session analysis to increase their quality, which will help mitigate insider threats in organizations.
