Abstract:
This bachelor's thesis deals with the development of the French language in the period of Latin influence. It summarizes the history of French and Latin from the very beginning to the Middle Ages. Then the mutual influence of these two languages is elaborated. The practical part of this thesis focuses on the research of the knowledge of Latin expressions among those who learn French.

Bakalářská práce se zabývá vývojem francouzského jazyka v období, kdy byl ovlivňován latinou. Shrnuje dějiny francouzštiny a latiny od úplného počátku až do období středověku. Poté je zpracován vzájemný vliv těchto dvou jazyků. Praktická část této práce se zabývá výzkumem znalostí latinských výrazů mezi těmi, kteří se učí francouzsky.
