Personality and work of a behaviour specialist in a Centre of educational care as seen by a client

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou osobnosti a práce vychovatele ve Středisku výchovné péče pohledem klienta. Je rozdělena na teoretickou a praktickou část. V teoretické části jsou střediska výchovné péče nejdříve legislativně vymezena, a následně obecně charakterizována. Na to navazuje představení konkrétního střediska, ve kterém byl výzkum proveden, charakteristika klientů a poruch chování, vychovatelů a jejich práce, a ve spojitosti s ní vymezení pojmu osobnost. Empirická část je tvořena výzkumem, jehož hlavním cílem bylo popsat, jak klienti vnímají osobnost a práci vychovatele ve Středisku výchovné péče. Jednalo se o kvalitativní šetření, jako metoda sběru dat byl zvolen polo-strukturovaný rozhovor. Respondenty bylo pět klientů. Hlavní částí výzkumu je analýza dat, jejich interpretace a vyhodnocení výsledků.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to review the issue of personality and work of a Behaviour specialist in a Centre of educational care in the perscpective of its clients. First part of the thesis is theoretical, and the second is practical. In the theoretical part I define the Centres of educational care legislatively and describe them in general. Followingly I am focusing on a presentation of a specific centre, in which the research was carried out. This includes characteristics of the clients and their behavioural disorders as well as a characteristics of the Behaviour specialists and their work. The concept of personality is defined too. The empirical part consists of a research, whose main objective was to describe, how clients perceive personality and work of a Behaviour specialist in a Centre of educational care. It was a qualitative research with a semi-structured interview used as the data collection method. The respondents were five clients of an above-mentioned Centre. The main part of the research is a data analysis, its interpretation and evaluation of the results.
