Financial literacy of women from Home for mothers with children in Litomerice

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá výzkumem finanční gramotnosti žen z Domova pro matky s dětmi v Litoměřicích. Šetření je prováděno pomocí kvantitativního výzkumu. V první části se práce soustředí na teoretické ukotvení pojmů, které se vztahují k finanční gramotnosti. Poukazuje na důsledky finanční negramotnosti a zabývá se dopady na člověka a společnost. Dále se zabývá Domovem pro matky s dětmi v Litoměřicích jako sociální službou. Druhá část je věnována samotnému výzkumu finanční gramotnosti pomocí sestavených dotazníků. Šetření se zúčastnilo 12 žen, které v různém časovém období využívali nebo využívají již zmíněnou sociální službu. Cílem práce je zjistit, na jaké úrovni se jejich finanční gramotnost pohybuje. Výsledky výzkumu ukazují na to, že úroveň je spíše nižší a tedy nedostačující. Na vyšší úrovni se pohybuje v oblasti teoretické. Výstupem této práce je návrh doporučení, který může sloužit organizaci jako návod pro zvyšování finanční gramotnosti, tudíž může docházet ke snižování počtu osob ohrožených sociální exkluzí.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis handles with the research of financial literacy of women from Asylum house for mothers and children in Litomerice. The survey is conducted using quantitative research. In the first part of the thesis focuses on the theoretical anchoring concepts that relate to financial literacy. Highlights the consequences of financial illiteracy and handles with the effects on man and society. It also deals with Asylum house for mothers and children in Litomerice as a social service. The second part is devoted to the research of financial literacy compiled using questionnaires. Respondents were 12 women in different time periods used, or using the aforementioned social service. The aim is to determine at what level of financial literacy moves. The research results show that the level is rather low and therefore insufficient. Better knowledge have respondents in theory. The outcome of this work is the example of recommendation that the organization can serve as a guide for improving financial literacy, therefore, reduction of the number of people at risk of social exclusion.
