League of Legends Professional Player Game Analysis

Abstract:

Předkládaná práce si klade za cíl zjistit rozdíly ve způsobu hraní League of Legends evropskými a jihokorejskými profesionálními hráči. K tomu byla využita data získaná pomocí RIOT API týkající se herního módu Ranked Solo/Duo. Bylo zjištěno, že existují výrazné rozdíly mezi oběma skupinami, a to i v případě aspektů hry majících velký význam v profesionálních zápasech jako je např. vize. V rámci metodiky byly v bakalářské práci použity metody pozorování, komparace a analýzy za pomocí Mannův-Whitneyho testu, shlukování a Spearmanova korelačního koeficientu. K výpočtům byl použit programovací jazyk Python.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to investigate the differences in the way European and South Korean professional players play League of Legends. To do this, data collected using the RIOT API regarding the Ranked Solo/Duo game mode was used. It was found that there are significant differences between the two groups, even for aspects of the game that are of great importance in professional matches such as vision. In terms of methodology, observation, comparison and analysis using the Mann-Whitney U test, clustering and Spearman's correlation coefficient were used. The Python programming language was utilized for the calculations.
