Developments and changes in commodity vertical pigs - pork in Serbia before joining the EU

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na vývoj a změny komoditní vertikály prasata – vepřové maso na srbském agrárním trhu před vstupem do EU. Hlavní faktor, který by ovlivnil toto odvětví v Srbsku, je vstup na evropský trh. Literární část představuje problematiku zemědělství a vymezuje základní pojmy týkající se tohoto odvětví. Praktická část se věnuje analýze produkci ve vybraných státech a následně je porovnána s produkcí prasat a vepřového masa v Srbsku. Práce zkoumá historický vývoj komoditní vertikály, sleduje podmínky na trhu a hodnotí ekonomickou situaci. Dále popisuje současný stav prasat, produkce vepřového masa a zahraniční obchod s živými prasaty a vepřovým masem.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is focused on the development and changes of the pigs-pork commodity vertical in the Serbian agricultural market in preparations for joining the EU. The main factor that could affect this sector in Serbia is the entry into the European market. The literary part presents the problematics of agriculture and defines the basic concepts related to this sector. The practical part is devoted to the analysis of production in selected countries and then it is compared with the production of pigs and pork in Serbia. The thesis examines the historical development of the commodity vertical, monitors market conditions and evaluates the economic situation. It also describes the current census of pigs, pork production and foreign trade in live pigs and pork.
