New Regionalism in the Foreign Relations of Cost Rica

Abstract:

Tato práce se zabývá vnějšími vztahy ekonomickými vztahy Kostariky. Hlavním cílem práce zjistit jaká je struktura obchodu Kostariky, jaké má podepsané obchodní smlouvy a jak to ovlivňuje její přístup k regionalismu. V první kapitole se věnuje komoditní a teritoriální struktuře zahraničního obchodu a přímých zahraničních investic. Druhá kapitola popisuje uzavřené bilaterální a multilaterální smlouvy o volném obchodu s šesti nejdůležitějšími partnery, proces jejich vzniku a obsah, třetí kapitola se věnuje třem nejdůležitějším partnerům, USA, EU a Číně, a vývojem vztahů a obchodu s nimi.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis focuses on foreign economic relations of Costa Rica. The main objective of this thesis is find out what is the structure of Costa Rica's foreign trade, which trade agreements it has signated and how does it influence its approach to regionalism. First chapter focuses on commodity and territorial structure of foreign trade and foreign direct investment. The second chapter is dedicated to bilateral and multilateral free trade agreements between Costa Rica and its six most important trading partners, the process of their formation and their content, the third chapter focuses on three bigest trading partners, USA, EU and China and evolution of their diplomatic and economic relations.
