Free Will and Responsibility

Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce je svobodná vůle a odpovědnost včetně jejich vzájemné provázanosti. V úvodu práce se zaměřuji zejména na teorie spjaté se svobodnou vůlí a odpovědností, kam řadíme determinismus, indeterminismus a na ně navazující teorie kompatibilismus, inkompatibilismus, libertarianismus, hard determinismus a hard inkompatibilismus. Následně se zaměřím na pojem svobodné vůle z filosofického pohledu a z pohledu iluze. V závěru práce se budu zabývat právní a morální odpovědností. Vymezím také pojem trestní politiky v souvislosti s retributivismem a konsekvencialismem.

Abstract:

The topic of the thesis is free will and responsibility, including their interconnections. The introduction of my work deals with the theories associated with free will and responsibility, where we rank determinism, indeterminism and related theories of compatibilism, incompatibilism libertarianism, hard determinism and hard inkompatibilismus. Subsequently, I concentrate on the concept of free will from a philosophical point of view as well as from the perspective of illusion. In conclusion, I will deal with legal and moral responsibility. At the end of my thesis is describing the term of punishment and the theories of retributivism and consequentialism
