Merkel and Sarkozy – Leadership in the European Union
Abstract:
The thesis analyses the excercise of leadership by the Franco-German tandem when accepting the Treaty of Lisbon and while fighting the economic crisis. The leadership concept is based on Young´s definition of leadership and the two main types of leadership – structural and entrepreneurial. Práca skúma, aké znaky leadership vykazoval francúzsko-nemecký tandem Sarkozy-Merkelová pri prijímaní Lisabonskej zmluvy a pri riešení hospodárskej krízy. Na zistenie znakov vedenia bol použitý Youngov koncept leadership, konkrétne jeho dva základné typy – štrukturálne a entrepreneuriálne vedenie.
