Analysis of managerial skills within selected company

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je analýza manažerských dovedností ve vybrané společnosti BELIS as. Teoretická část práce je průzkumem současné situace na globálním trhu, která poukazuje na vyšší potřebu emoční inteligence manažerů a rostoucí tlak Průmyslu 4.0. V aplikační části práce jsou stanoveny čtyři výzkumné otázky a dvě hypotézy pro naplnění cíle práce, které se týkají problematiky definování dovedností manažerů v rámci celé struktury podniku. Data pro tento výzkum jsou sbírána prostřednictvím dotazníkového šetření a zpracovávána pomocí MS Excel, přičemž výsledky jsou prezentovány ve formě grafů, tabulek a sémantických diferenciálů. Hypotézy jsou ověřeny pomocí chí-kvadrát testu pro čtyřpolní tabulky. Po zpracování dat jsou výsledky vyhodnoceny, zejména s přihlédnutím k vědomému využívání emoční inteligence a s přihlédnutím k potřebě a rychlosti adaptace a reakce manažerů na zvyšující se tlak trendu spojeného s Průmyslem 4.0. Hodnocení pak poskytuje opatření doporučení k pokračování v realizaci vzdělávacích programů, a to jak pro emocionální stránku manažerů, tak pro znalosti a zkušenosti spojené s Průmyslem 4.0.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to analyze managerial skills in a selected company BELIS a.s. The theoretical part of the thesis is a survey of the current situation on the global market, which points to the higher need for emotional intelligence of managers and the growing pressure of Industry 4.0. In the applicational part of the thesis, four research questions and two hypotheses are set for the fulfillment of the goal of the thesis, which relate to the issue of defining the skills of managers within the entire structure of the company. Data for this research are collected through a questionnaire survey and the data is processed using MS Excel, with the results being presented in the form of graphs, tables and semantic differentials. The hypotheses are verified using the four-field table chi-square test. After processing the data, the results are evaluated, especially taking into account the conscious use of emotional intelligence and taking into account the need and rate of adaptation and response of managers to the increasing pressure of the trend associated with Industry 4.0. The evaluation then provides measures of recommendation to continue the implementation of education programs, both for the emotional side of managers and for the knowledge and experience associated with Industry 4.0.
