Prediction of Y and Z generation evolution on the labor market in the Czech Republic and their requirements to employers

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce bylo zjistit, jak se budou dané generace vyvíjet v letech 2020 až 2100 a současně zda se jejich požadavky na zaměstnavatele liší oproti předchozím generacím. Teoretická část se věnuje literární rešerši zabývající se charakteristikou generací Baby Boomers, X, Y a Z a trhu práce nejen obecně, ale také konkrétně pro Českou republiku. Metodika práce se věnuje popisu metody využité v rámci kvantitativního výzkumu při sběru dat, kterou je online dotazníkové šetření mezi generacemi Y a Z. Za pomoci této metody byly získány informace o požadavcích zmíněných generací od 359 respondentů. Na základě výsledků lze říci, že změna složení obyvatelstva v produktivním věku bude mít vliv na vývoj a fungování trhu práce, pře-vážně z hlediska ekonomiky a zaměstnanosti. V závěru práce bylo možné poskytnou výrobní společnosti konkrétní doporučení díky získaným výsledkům.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis was to find out how the generations will evolve between 2020 and 2100 and at the same time if their requirements for employers are different from previous generations. The theoretical part is devoted to literary research dealing with characteristics of generations Baby Boomers, X, Y and Z and labor market not only in general, but also specifically for the Czech Republic. The methodology of the work is devoted to the description of the method used in the quantitative research in data collection, which is an online questionnaire survey between generations Y and Z. Using this method, information about the requirements of the mentioned generations was obtained from 359 respondents. On the basis of the results we can say that the change in the composition of the working-age population will affect the development and functioning of the labor market, mainly in terms of economy and employment. At the end of the thesis it was possible to provide concrete recommendations to the manufacturing company thanks to the obtained results.
