Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se především zabývá rolí České filharmonie v české kulturní potažmo hudební diplomacii. Zaměřuje se primárně na zahraniční dimenzi činnosti českého národního orchestru, jež má přímé souvislosti s praxí kulturní diplomacie. Ve své první části se práce věnuje souvisejícím problematikám, tedy obecné charakteristice veřejné a kulturní diplomacie a následně na příkladech z praxe představuje koncept hudební diplomacie. Poté se samostatně věnuje situaci v České republice a zapojeným aktérům kulturní diplomacie. Neopomíná ani roli české klasické hudby, a to především díla nejvýznamějších českých skladatelů, která jsou součástí národního dědictví a ambasadory české kultury v zahraničí.Cílem této práce je odpovědět na otázku, zda je Česká filharmonie považována a zda má právo být považována za jednoho z hlavních aktérů české kulturní diplomacie. Jsou specifikovány charakteristiky tohoto aktérství a význam pro společnost a zahraniční politiku.Na základě podrobné analýzy jsou nalézány argumenty směřující k potvrzení hypotézy, že Česká filharmonie splňuje předpoklady kulturnědiplomatického aktérství a má místo v koncepcích a strategiích české zahraniční politiky.

Abstract:

This Diploma Thesis is dealing with the role of the Czech Philharmonic in the Czech cultural, alternatively, music diplomacy. It focuses on the foreign dimension of orchestra's activity, which has a direct connection to the Czech cultural diplomacy practice. The first part of this Thesis devotes to the related issues - the characteristic of the public and cultural diplomacy. Further it introduces the music diplomacy and it's examples. The next part concentrates on the situation in the Czech republic and related players. It doesn't omit the name and the role of the Czech classical music and the most famous composers. The main aim of this thesis is to answer the question, whether the Czech Philharmonic is and should be considered to be one of the main Czech cultural diplomacy players. The character and the relevance of it are being specified. There are to be found arguments for the confirmation of the surmise that the Czech Philharmonic meets all the requirements to be considered as the main cultural diplomatic player and that it should be a subject of the cultural diplomacy and politics concepts and strategies.
